{"id":115,"date":"2026-09-26T21:14:42","date_gmt":"2026-09-26T21:14:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jigsawearth.com\/about\/"},"modified":"2026-10-05T20:05:54","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T16:05:54","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jigsawearth.com\/es\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"Acerca de Jigsaw Earth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jigsaw Earth is a free online jigsaw puzzle site about one simple idea: the world is full of beautiful places, and putting one together piece by piece is a lovely way to spend a few quiet minutes with it.<\/p>\n<h2>What you&rsquo;ll find here<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Puzzles of real places<\/strong> &ndash; cities, landmarks, coastlines, mountains and wild landscapes from every continent, sorted by continent and country so you can travel wherever you like.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Your own difficulty<\/strong> &ndash; play any picture as a quick 12-piece break or a 300-piece challenge, with classic pieces or harder ones with three knobs on every side.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Something new every day<\/strong> &ndash; a Puzzle of the Day, a bigger Puzzle of the Week, the <a href=\"\/daily\/\">Daily<\/a> game <em>Where on Earth?<\/em>, where you put a mystery photo together and then guess on the map where it was taken, and a <em>Guess the place<\/em> game where the location stays hidden until the last piece is in.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Puzzle journeys<\/strong> &ndash; <a href=\"\/journeys\/\">themed routes<\/a> such as Around the World or the Grand Tour of Europe, travelled one puzzle at a time: each stop you finish unlocks the next.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A travel passport<\/strong> &ndash; every country where you finish a puzzle gets a stamp in your <a href=\"\/passport\/\">passport<\/a>, along with bronze, silver and gold medals for your achievements, a page of your own records and, if you sign in, a place on the leaderboard.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Globe Coins<\/strong> &ndash; finishing puzzles and quizzes earns coins for the <a href=\"\/shop\/\">Globe Coin shop<\/a>: hints, table colours, passport covers, postcard styles, leaderboard names and mystery flights. They are only part of the game and can&rsquo;t be bought with money.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Geography quizzes<\/strong> &ndash; <a href=\"\/quizzes\/\">name the flags of the world, find countries on the map, match the capitals and guess where our puzzle photos were taken<\/a>, for the whole world or one continent at a time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Puzzles from your photos<\/strong> <em>(coming soon)<\/em> &ndash; soon you&rsquo;ll be able to turn a picture of your own into a puzzle and share it with friends and family.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How it works<\/h2>\n<p>Everything runs in your web browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. There&rsquo;s nothing to install and no account to create, although you can sign in with your email if you&rsquo;d like to keep your travel passport on every device. Drag pieces with your mouse or finger, and they click together when they meet the right neighbour. Puzzles you save with the heart button stay in your browser &ndash; you can read more in our <a href=\"\/privacy-policy\/\">Privacy Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>About the photos<\/h2>\n<p>We choose each photo for its colour, detail and sense of place, so that it&rsquo;s both pleasant to look at and satisfying to assemble. Many come from photographers who share their work under free licences; the photographer and licence are named on every puzzle. If you think a photo has been credited wrongly or shouldn&rsquo;t be here, please let us know and we&rsquo;ll put it right.<\/p>\n<h2>Keeping it free<\/h2>\n<p>Jigsaw Earth is free to use. To cover the costs of running it, some pages may show advertising.
