Inaugurado en 1894, es a la vez un puente basculante y colgante: su calzada se divide en el centro y las dos mitades se levantan para dejar pasar barcos altos, mientras unas pasarelas elevadas unen lo alto de sus torres de estilo g\u00f3tico.
