Se construy\u00f3 en 1968 para conmemorar los 100 a\u00f1os de la llegada de los primeros inmigrantes japoneses a Haw\u00e1i, y es una copia m\u00e1s peque\u00f1a del By\u014dd\u014d-in de Uji, en Jap\u00f3n, del siglo XI.
