El camino hacia la puerta cruza el foso entre dos hileras de figuras de piedra: dioses a un lado y demonios al otro, y cada hilera sujeta el cuerpo de una serpiente gigante. Representan un antiguo relato hind\u00fa, el batido del oc\u00e9ano de leche, en el que dioses y demonios tiraban de una serpiente de un lado a otro para agitar el oc\u00e9ano y obtener el n\u00e9ctar de la inmortalidad.
