Una carretera sube desde el pueblo, pasando por los lagos Patricia y Pyramid, entre bosques donde se ven a menudo uapit\u00edes, ciervos y osos negros. Jasper naci\u00f3 como pueblo ferroviario en la d\u00e9cada de 1910, cuando dos l\u00edneas transcontinentales cruzaron las Rocosas por el paso Yellowhead.
