Su alto edificio de madera, de tejados empinados, con balcones y hastiales al estilo de un chal\u00e9 suizo, se dise\u00f1\u00f3 para resistir los fuertes vientos que bajan por el lago Upper Waterton; durante la obra el viento desplaz\u00f3 dos veces la estructura. El hotel es Sitio Hist\u00f3rico Nacional de Canad\u00e1.
