Las ruinas g\u00f3ticas que hoy se alzan en el acantilado este son los restos de una iglesia del siglo XIII. Se dice que Bram Stoker encontr\u00f3 el nombre de Dr\u00e1cula en un libro de la biblioteca de Whitby.
