Sus muros de ladrillo y piedra pertenec\u00edan al peque\u00f1o pabell\u00f3n de caza que el rey Luis XIII construy\u00f3 en la d\u00e9cada de 1620, y su hijo Luis XIV los conserv\u00f3 cuando convirti\u00f3 el pabell\u00f3n en el mayor palacio de Europa y traslad\u00f3 aqu\u00ed la corte en 1682. La alcoba del rey est\u00e1 tras las ventanas del centro del primer piso, mirando al este, hacia el sol naciente.
