Es uno de los ferrocarriles de ancho normal m\u00e1s empinados del mundo y pasa por veinte t\u00faneles, muchos excavados a mano. La l\u00ednea se inaugur\u00f3 en 1940, y hoy es una de las atracciones m\u00e1s populares de Noruega; los trenes paran junto a la estruendosa cascada de Kjosfossen para que los pasajeros puedan bajar.
