Los brit\u00e1nicos construyeron el fuerte de piedra entre 1832 y 1837 para proteger el astillero naval y el canal de un ataque estadounidense que nunca lleg\u00f3. Hoy forma parte del sitio Patrimonio de la Humanidad del canal Rideau, y en verano la Guardia del Fuerte Henry, estudiantes vestidos como soldados brit\u00e1nicos de la d\u00e9cada de 1860, desfila, hace maniobras y dispara ca\u00f1ones para los visitantes.
