Su nombre significa \u00ablago de Alejandro\u00bb, por Alejandro Magno, que cruz\u00f3 Asia Central en el siglo IV a. C.; una leyenda dice que aqu\u00ed se ahog\u00f3 su caballo Buc\u00e9falo. Lo form\u00f3 un deslizamiento de tierra que repres\u00f3 un r\u00edo, y su agua es turquesa y muy fr\u00eda. A pocos pasos, la cascada del Ni\u00e1gara de Fann ruge en un estrecho desfiladero.
