Durante siglos hubo un puente en este lugar que un\u00eda las calles de ambas orillas, pero la estructura hist\u00f3rica fue destruida por una inundaci\u00f3n en 1979 y despu\u00e9s se reconstruy\u00f3. Desde el r\u00edo se ven casas tradicionales, cafeter\u00edas y las colinas que se elevan sobre la ciudad. Prizren ha sido durante mucho tiempo un lugar de encuentro entre distintas lenguas y comunidades.
