Su edificio m\u00e1s famoso hoy es la Biblioteca de Celso, construida hacia el a\u00f1o 117 por un c\u00f3nsul romano en memoria de su padre, que est\u00e1 enterrado debajo. Lleg\u00f3 a guardar unos 12.000 rollos. La fachada de dos pisos cay\u00f3 en un terremoto y los arque\u00f3logos la volvieron a levantar en los a\u00f1os setenta.
