Cerca de Skagen, el R\u00e5bjerg Mile es la mayor duna m\u00f3vil del norte de Europa y avanza unos 15 metros hacia el este cada a\u00f1o. La arena llevada tierra adentro ha sepultado granjas e incluso una iglesia: de la antigua iglesia de San Lorenzo solo la torre blanca asoma sobre la arena. Para frenar las dunas se plantaron barr\u00f3n, brezo y pinares, que a\u00fan cubren buena parte de la zona.
