Su casco antiguo se alza sobre un acantilado junto al Adri\u00e1tico, rodeado de murallas, con mezquitas y casas venecianas en su interior. Durante siglos Ulcinj fue base de piratas, y una historia muy repetida dice que Miguel de Cervantes estuvo cautivo aqu\u00ed, aunque los historiadores lo dudan. Al sur se extiende Velika Pla\u017ea, una playa de arena de unos doce kil\u00f3metros.
