Sus casas se construyeron con piedra y barro del lugar, con tejados de troncos y hojas de palmera, y sus habitantes cultivaban d\u00e1tiles y hortalizas en terrazas regadas por un falaj, un canal que trae el agua de manantiales del valle alto. Cuando las familias se mudaron a la costa en el siglo XX, la aldea se vaci\u00f3, y desde entonces se ha restaurado como sitio de patrimonio, con una torre de vigilancia que protege las casas.
