El lago Elim\u00e9 es uno de ellos, y su agua azul intensa es una visi\u00f3n sorprendente en el S\u00e1hara amarillo. En sus orillas crecen palmeras datileras, y la poca gente que vive aqu\u00ed recoge d\u00e1tiles y sal. Los lagos de Ounianga S\u00e9rir y Ounianga Kebir forman juntos un Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO.
