Est\u00e1 en una bah\u00eda profunda y resguardada, que hoy sirve de puerto para los barcos que abastecen los campos de petr\u00f3leo del mar, y detr\u00e1s se alzan verdes laderas volc\u00e1nicas cubiertas de bosque. Desde Luba una carretera lleva hacia el sur, a las playas de Arena Blanca y a la costa salvaje de Ureca.
