About Seligman, Arizona

When a new interstate highway bypassed the little town of Seligman in 1978, its shops and motels began to close. A local barber, Angel Delgadillo, gathered his neighbours to save the old road, and in 1987 Arizona named its stretch ‘Historic Route 66’. Seligman’s colourful shops helped inspire the town of Radiator Springs in the film Cars.

Puzzle tip: the big RoadRunner sign and the shield are the key; the shop front comes next.
