Antarctica is the coldest, windiest and highest continent on Earth, a land of ice around the South Pole where no people live all year round. Our Antarctica puzzles show its icebergs, glaciers and mountains, and the penguins, seals and whales that come to its shores in the short summer. Pick a region below or scroll through the puzzles.

Almost the whole continent lies under an ice sheet that is about two kilometres thick on average. No country owns Antarctica: under the Antarctic Treaty of 1959 it is kept for peace and science, and the only people who stay there are researchers at scientific stations and visitors on summer voyages. Most travellers sail to the Antarctic Peninsula, the mountainous arm that reaches towards South America, often stopping at the island of South Georgia on the way.
Each puzzle comes with a short text about the place or the animal, so you can learn a little about the far south while you put the pieces together.
