About Turquoise Lake in the Forest, Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park has more than 700 lakes, many of them lying in valleys scooped out by ice. Around them grow forests of spruce, fir and pine, home to grizzly bears, mountain goats, moose and elk. The park was created in 1910, and in 1932 it was joined with Canada's Waterton Lakes National Park to form the world's first international peace park. Many visitors explore its lakes from Many Glacier in the east of the park. This photo shows a turquoise lake framed by dark conifers and rocky mountains.

Puzzle tip: start with the light turquoise water, then the rocky mountains, and leave the dark conifers for last.
