About Green Valley in Glacier National Park

The valleys of Glacier National Park have the classic U shape left by glaciers, with steep walls and wide, flat floors. Rivers wind along the bottom and waterfalls pour from the hanging valleys above. The Going-to-the-Sun Road, completed in 1932, is cut into the side of one of these valleys and climbs to Logan Pass at about 2,000 metres; it is usually fully open only from late June or July to October because of deep snow. This photo looks over a wide green valley to rugged peaks under a bright sky.

Puzzle tip: build the peaks along the skyline first, then join the green slopes from the top of the valley down.
