About Sveti Stefan on the Adriatic

Sveti Stefan is a small fortified island linked to Montenegro’s Adriatic coast by a narrow causeway. Its closely packed stone houses and red roofs give it the appearance of an old seaside village. The island has long been a recognisable feature of the coast south of Budva. The island’s red roofs form a compact shape against blue sea and distant mountains. The fishing village was turned into a luxury hotel in the 1950s, and its guests have included film stars and royalty.

Puzzle tip: assemble the island roofs first and leave the broad sea for later.
