About Zuma Rock above a Village, Niger State

Zuma Rock is a huge dome of granite that rises about 300 metres above the plain in Niger State, just west of Nigeria's capital, Abuja. The highway into the city passes right beside it, so it is often called the gateway to Abuja, and its picture is printed on the 100 naira banknote. Long ago the Gbagyi people living around it used the rock as a fortress in times of war. In this photo the grey rock towers over the trees and roofs of a small village at its foot.

Puzzle tip: start with the grey dome of the rock and its dark streaks, then the green trees and the village roofs below.
