About African Penguins at Boulders Beach

Boulders Beach near Simon's Town is home to a colony of African penguins, which nest among the huge granite boulders along the shore. The colony started with just two pairs in 1982 and grew to thousands of birds. African penguins are endangered, and visitors watch them from boardwalks so as not to disturb their nests.

Puzzle tip: the black and white penguins are easy to spot; the boulders and sand need patience.
