About Balzers Village and the Alps

Balzers is a municipality in southern Liechtenstein, close to the border with Switzerland. It lies in the Rhine valley below Alpine mountains and is known for the nearby hilltop Gutenberg Castle. Homes, fields and steep peaks sit close together in this small principality. The image contrasts the village roofs and green land with snowy peaks in the distance. Liechtenstein is one of only two doubly landlocked countries in the world, surrounded by countries that have no coast either.

Puzzle tip: separate the rooftops from the snow line before filling in the broad sky.
