About Emu in the Flinders Ranges

The emu is Australia's tallest bird and the second largest bird in the world after the ostrich. It cannot fly, but it can run at about fifty kilometres an hour on its long legs. After the female lays her large dark green eggs, the father sits on them for about eight weeks and then cares for the chicks. This emu was photographed in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia.

Puzzle tip: the emu's shaggy feathers are the centre; the dry bush needs patience.
