About Marigot Bay, Saint Lucia

Marigot Bay is a small, deep inlet on the west coast of Saint Lucia, surrounded by steep green hills and a narrow spit of sand with palm trees. It is so well hidden from the open sea that, according to local stories, a British fleet once escaped the French by hiding here behind palm fronds. Today it is a favourite anchorage for sailing yachts.

Puzzle tip: the palm-covered spit of sand is the centre; the water and the green hills come next.
