About Vieux-Port, Marseille

The Vieux-Port, the Old Port, has been the heart of Marseille for more than 2,600 years, since Greek sailors from Phocaea founded the city here around 600 BC. It is lined with cafés, fish stalls and rows of pleasure boats, and guarded at its entrance by two old forts, Saint-Jean and Saint-Nicolas. On the hill above, the basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde watches over the harbour.

Puzzle tip: the white boats fill the middle, so start with the buildings around the harbour and the hills behind.
