About Palm Trees on Varadero Beach

Varadero lies on the Hicacos Peninsula, a thin strip of land about 20 kilometres long on the north coast of Cuba, east of Havana. Its long beach of fine white sand and its calm turquoise sea made it the country's best-known resort. In the 1920s the American businessman Irénée du Pont built a mansion here, and today the peninsula is lined with hotels.

Puzzle tip: the palm trees are the key shapes; the sand and the sky come next.
