About Scarlet Macaw at Copán, Honduras

The scarlet macaw is the national bird of Honduras, and its red, yellow and blue feathers are one of the brightest sights in the forests of Central America. Macaws live for decades, pair for life and use their powerful beaks to crack hard nuts. At the Maya city of Copán, where carvings of macaws decorate the ruins, the birds have been brought back and fly freely over the site.

Puzzle tip: the bright feathers make the bird easy to build; the branch and the blue sky come next.
