About Sweetheart Rock, Lānaʻi

Puʻu Pehe, known as Sweetheart Rock, is a sea stack about 24 metres high standing off the south coast of Lānaʻi, next to Hulopoʻe Bay. A Hawaiian legend tells of a young man who hid his beautiful wife in a sea cave here; when a storm drowned her, he carried her to the top of the rock to bury her and then leapt into the sea. The bay beside it is a marine reserve where spinner dolphins often swim.

Puzzle tip: the red rock is the landmark; sort the sea by its shades of blue.
