About Tokyo Skyscrapers at Night

At night, Tokyo's skyscrapers glow above streets full of light and movement. The city was once a fishing village called Edo, which grew into the seat of the shoguns and became Japan's capital in 1868, when the emperor moved here from Kyoto and the city was renamed Tokyo, meaning "eastern capital". Because Japan has many earthquakes, its tall buildings are designed to sway gently instead of breaking, and some rest on giant shock absorbers.

Puzzle tip: the lit windows of the towers make clear patterns; the dark sky and the street below are the hardest part.
