About Guildhalls of the Grand-Place, Brussels

The Grand-Place is the central square of Brussels, surrounded by the town hall and the ornate houses of the city's old guilds of bakers, brewers, boatmen and other trades. In August 1695 a French army bombarded the city and destroyed most of the square, but the guilds rebuilt their houses within a few years, richer than before, with gilded statues and carvings. The square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Every two years in August it is covered with a huge carpet made of hundreds of thousands of begonia flowers.

Puzzle tip: the golden statues on the rooftops are easy to find; the windows repeat a lot, so look at the carvings around them.
