About Trail through the Hoh Rain Forest

In the Hoh Rain Forest, new trees often grow on top of fallen ones, which are called nurse logs. When the old log rots away, the young trees are left standing in a straight row on stilt-like roots. Elk graze through the forest and keep the understorey open, and the Hoh River, fed by glaciers on Mount Olympus, flows nearby. Olympic National Park was created in 1938 and covers mountains, rain forest and wild Pacific coast. In this photo a trail leads between moss-draped trees and ferns.

Puzzle tip: build the light opening at the top first, then the trail, and fill the mossy trees on both sides last.
