About Blue Mosque, Yerevan

The Blue Mosque was built in 1765, when Yerevan was ruled by Persian khans, and it is the only mosque still working in the city. Its turquoise dome and minaret are covered with glazed tiles, and a peaceful garden courtyard is surrounded by small rooms that were once used by students. It has been restored with help from Iran.

Puzzle tip: the blue dome and the tiled walls are the highlight; the trees and the sky come next.
