About Mountain Village in Lesotho

In the highlands of Lesotho, villages of small stone houses and round huts are scattered across the slopes, surrounded by maize fields, stone kraals for cattle and sheep, and wide open grassland. Most of the country's two million people are Basotho, who speak Sesotho, and many families in the mountains still keep sheep and Angora goats, whose wool and mohair are among Lesotho's main exports. In winter, snow can fall on the high peaks, and Lesotho even has a ski resort. This panoramic photo shows a village of stone houses with thatched roofs on a hillside.

Puzzle tip: start with the houses and their thatched roofs, then the hillside, and the mountains and the sky last.
