About Rows of Pumpkins in Pepin, Wisconsin

Pepin is a small village on Lake Pepin, a wide natural lake on the Mississippi River between Wisconsin and Minnesota. The lake formed where sand and gravel from the Chippewa River partly blocked the Mississippi. Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the Little House books, was born near Pepin in 1867, and her first book is set in the woods nearby. This photo shows rows of ripe pumpkins at a pumpkin patch in Pepin, laid out in the field during the autumn harvest.

Puzzle tip: follow the rows of pumpkins as straight lines, then fill the gaps with the brown and green ground.
