About Waterfront Houses in Ålesund

Ålesund is built on several islands joined by bridges, and the sea reaches right into the town centre. It has long been one of Norway's most important fishing ports, especially for cod, which is dried and salted to make klippfisk and sent to countries such as Portugal and Brazil. The Art Nouveau Centre, in an old pharmacy, tells the story of the fire and the rebuilding. From the town a short climb of more than four hundred steps leads up Mount Aksla to a famous view. In this photo tall white, red and cream houses line the calm water, with boats moored beyond.

Puzzle tip: start with the houses on the left, then the boats and the far shore, and finish with the reflections and the clouds.
