About Boats on the Halifax Waterfront

The Halifax Waterfront is a long boardwalk beside the harbour of Nova Scotia's capital, lined with old warehouses, shops, restaurants and moored boats. The harbour stays free of ice all year, and for a long time it was Canada's door to the Atlantic: between 1928 and 1971 almost a million immigrants arrived through Pier 21, which is now the Canadian Museum of Immigration. The ferry to Dartmouth, across the harbour, has run since 1752 and is the oldest saltwater ferry service in North America. In this photo boats and small kiosks line the water below a modern glass building.

Puzzle tip: start with the boats and the colourful kiosks, then the glass building, and finish with the water and the blue sky.
