About Lakeshore in the Yukon

Yukon is a territory in the far north-west of Canada, almost as big as Spain but home to only about 45,000 people, most of whom live in the capital, Whitehorse. Its south-west corner holds Kluane National Park, with Mount Logan, at 5,959 metres the highest mountain in Canada, and the largest icefields outside the polar regions. Long lakes fill the valleys between the ranges, and grizzly bears, Dall sheep and moose live along their shores. During the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896–1899 about 100,000 people set out for the Yukon in search of gold. This photo from the air shows the curving sandy shore of a calm lake below a range of mountains.

Puzzle tip: begin with the light sandy shore and the dark forest, then the mountains, and finish with the shining water and the sky.
