About Gran Vía, Madrid

The Gran Vía is Madrid's most famous avenue, cut through the old city between 1910 and 1929 to connect new districts with the centre. It is lined with grand early 20th-century buildings, cinemas and theatres, earning it the nickname Madrid's Broadway. At its eastern end stands the Metropolis Building, crowned by a dome topped with a winged statue of Victory.

Puzzle tip: the long lines of the street lead to the dome, so build the edges first and work inwards.
