About Badlands of Dinosaur Provincial Park

Dinosaur Provincial Park, in the badlands along the Red Deer River in south-eastern Alberta, is one of the richest dinosaur fossil sites in the world. Remains of more than 50 species have been found here in rocks about 75 million years old, when the area was a warm coastal plain. The park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, and visitors can join guided walks to fossil beds. In this photo people climb a trail among layered, eroded hills of grey and tan rock under a blue sky.

Puzzle tip: start with the layered hills and their stripes, then the small figures on the trail, and finish with the sky.
