About Chambord and Its Reflection on a Summer Day

Chambord has more than four hundred rooms and dozens of staircases, but it was built as a place for hunting and festivities, not for everyday life, so many rooms were never finished or furnished. Its plan is like a medieval castle: a square keep with four round towers, set inside a larger rectangle of walls. In recent years the French formal gardens on the north side, lost in the twentieth century, were replanted from old plans. This view from the side of the moat shows the château, a row of young trees and its reflection under white summer clouds.

Puzzle tip: start with the roofs and towers, then the walls and the row of trees, and finish with the reflection and the sky.
