About Coast at Hōnaunau, Hawaiʻi

On the Kona coast of the Big Island, near Kealakekua Bay, dark lava rock meets deep blue water full of coral and tropical fish. At Hōnaunau lies Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau, once a place of refuge where Hawaiians who had broken sacred laws could escape punishment if they reached it. Nearby Kealakekua Bay, where Captain James Cook landed in 1779, is a marine reserve popular with snorkellers and spinner dolphins.

Puzzle tip: the line between the black lava and the blue sea is the key; the green land comes next.
