About Coconut Palms on Huahine

Huahine lies about 175 kilometres north-west of Tahiti and is really two islands, Huahine Nui and Huahine Iti, joined by a short bridge. It is one of the quietest and least developed islands of French Polynesia, with small villages, vanilla farms and long empty beaches. Near the village of Maeva stand dozens of marae, the stone platforms of old Polynesian temples, and in the village of Faie, people feed the sacred blue-eyed eels that live in a stream.

Puzzle tip: the band of white sand and the palm trees make a clear line across the middle; the wide turquoise water comes last.
