About Colourful Houses of Uummannaq, Greenland

Houses in bright colours climb the rocky slopes of Uummannaq, a town on a small island off the west coast of Greenland, far north of the Arctic Circle. Its name means heart-shaped, after the steep mountain of nearly 1,200 metres that rises behind the town. About 1,400 people live there, many of them from fishing and hunting. In winter the sun stays below the horizon for weeks and the sea freezes, and dog sleds still travel across the ice to the settlements around the fjord.

Puzzle tip: the yellow building at the bottom is a good place to start; the rocky hill between the houses is the hardest part.
