About Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam

The Rijksmuseum is the national museum of the Netherlands, housed in a grand red-brick building designed by Pierre Cuypers and opened in 1885. It holds masterpieces of the Dutch Golden Age, including Rembrandt's The Night Watch and paintings by Vermeer. A public passage runs right through the building, and cyclists ride underneath the museum every day.

Puzzle tip: the towers and the rows of windows help you place the building; the square in front comes last.
