About Dom Tower above the Oudegracht, Utrecht

The Dom Tower of Utrecht, built between 1321 and 1382, is about 112 metres tall and still the highest church tower in the Netherlands. It once stood joined to the cathedral, but in 1674 a storm brought down the middle of the church, and since then the tower has stood on its own across a small square. Below it runs the Oudegracht, the old canal through the city centre. Its banks have two levels: the street above, and wharves at the water's edge with old cellars that once stored goods and now hold cafés and shops.

Puzzle tip: the tall tower is the clear place to start; the canal, the boat and the trees come after.
