About Copacabana Fort and Beaches from Above

Copacabana Fort stands on a rocky point between Copacabana and Ipanema. It was finished in 1914 to guard the entrance to Guanabara Bay, with walls of concrete up to 12 metres thick, and today it houses the Army History Museum. From the air, the fort sits between the long curves of Rio's two most famous beaches, with the peaks of Dois Irmãos and the city's green mountains behind.

Puzzle tip: the fort on its rocky point is the centre; follow the curves of the two beaches, then the sea.
